Charity Jordan

Charity-JordanCharity Purvis Jordan is an actress, educator, and advocate with 10+ years of experience in performing arts and youth development. Charity went to the famous Tri-Cities Performing Arts Magnet High School, where she concentrated on acting. She simultaneously studied under Acting Coach Freddie Hendricks, eventually touring internationally with the Freddie Hendricks’ “Youth Ensemble of Atlanta”(YEA), where she shared the stage with the likes of Sahr Ngaujah (FELA!), Seycon Sengbloh (Wicked on Broadway), Kenan Thompson (SNL), performing classics such as the Crucible, Wiz, and Dreamgirls.

After writing, producing and starring in a comedy-drama loosely based on her real-life experiences, Charity was nominated for “Best Actress” at the BronzeLens Film Festival, and caught the attention of an agent, that led to her role in Ava DuVernay’s “Selma” being released Christmas Day. Charity can also be seen on NBC’s “Constantine” premiering in October, or reprising her role as Karen in season 3 of “Mommy Uncensored,” also premiering this Fall.

She has a Master’s in education, is happily married, and considers her two beautiful children her greatest works of art.
