The 29th Annual Long Beach Jazz Festival is Southern California’s longest running festival that offers three days of the best in music and ambience.
Featured artists whose performances are rooted in JAZZ, The Long Beach Jazz Festival serves up JAZZ in all its forms -- mainstream... contemporary... fusion... IT’S All ABOUT JAZZ -- jazz lightly spiced with R&B, funk, soul, gospel and blues. It’s a Jazz Feast promising something for everyone.
For three days, Rainbow Promotions, LLC will transform Rainbow Lagoon Park into a unique environment energized with music, food, health awareness and that special jazz fest ambience ALWAYS DECLARED the Crème de la Crème of Southern California’s festivals, August 12, 13, 14, 2016. #LBJazzFest will bring its class, sophistication and musical magic like no other!
For over 29 years, the #LBJazzFest has been a trailblazer consistently defining and transcending the essence of all that a jazz festival can be. More than music, mingling, munching and marveling at merchandise, attendees will enjoy a beautiful lagoon and coastal surroundings. Specialty vendors, health & wellness specialists, and guest speakers are available to share the latest information, products and services to enhance overall well-being of body, mind and spirit.
UPDATE: We regret to announce legendary jazz musician, Michael Franks, will not be able to perform at this year’s Long Beach Jazz Festival due to a severe case of the flu. Under doctors’ orders, Michael Franks, is forced to cancel his engagements in both Long Beach and Richmond. Franks has been advised to remain in bed for the duration of his recovery. In 43 years of touring and performing all over the world, this marks only the second time he has ever had to cancel a show. Michael sends his love to all of his fans and supporters, and looks forward to performing for you all again soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with Michael as we wish him a speedy recovery. Please note, we are adding another act on Friday night and will be announcing the new addition in the next few days. Thank you all for your support, we look forward to seeing you this weekend.
