We love a good battle of the bands, or in this case, girl groups!
Ladies from the hit 90s girl groups, SWV & Xscape, took to Instagram to put their own spin on each other’s songs.
Tamara (Taj) Johnson, Leanne (Lelee) Lyons, and Cheryl (Coko) Gamble make up the group SWV, which stands for “Sistas With Voices.” They started out as a gospel group, but became one of the most successful R&B groups of the late 1990s!
On the other hand, Xscape came on the scene fresh out of Atlanta, Georgia in 1992, and singers Kandi Burrus, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, Tamika Scott, and LaTocha Scott have been kickin’ it ever since!
Coko from SWV took to the gram to remix Xscape’s “Who Can I Run To” with a caption that said, “Who Can I Run To? 💙 One of the best remakes EVER!!”
