Stacey Dash Wants Forgiveness, Apologizes and Blames Being Angry For Past, Controversial Statements

Stacey Dash rethinks her past controversial comments.

Now, with a change of heart, the “Clueless” actress recants the statements made during her time as a political commentator for Fox News from 2014 to 2017.

Her opinions over the years have made headlines, ultimately putting her in the hot seat time and time again. From her support of Donald Trump following the 2017 neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Virginia to her stance against Black History Month, Dash has not shied away from sharing her controversial opinions.

In a new interview, with DailyMail TV, she apologizes for her past behavior. “I’ve lived my life being angry, which is what I was on Fox News,” said Dash. “I was the angry, conservative, Black woman. And at that time in my life, it was who I was. I realized in 2016 that anger is unsustainable and it will destroy you. I made a lot of mistakes because of that anger.”

Sis didn’t stop there, she wants people to recognize that the Stacey Dash from 2016 is not who she is today.

“There are things that I am sorry for…I should not have said them the way I said them,” continued Dash. “They were very arrogant and prideful and angry. And that’s who Stacey was, but that’s not who Stacey is now. Stacey’s someone who has compassion, empathy. God has forgiven me, how dare I not forgive someone else. I don’t want to be judged, so how dare I judge anyone else. So If anyone has ever felt that way about me, like I’ve judged, that I apologize for because that’s not who I am.”

After a short campaign for Congress in 2018, Dash vows to never enter that space again. When Donald Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in January, it changed her views completely.

“Being a supporter of Trump has put me in some kind of box that I don’t belong in. But he’s not the president. I think the Capitol riots were appalling,” she said. “When that happened I was like, ‘OK, I’m done. I’m truly done.’ Because senseless violence of any kind I denounce. What happened on January 6 was just appalling and stupid.”

Dash also encouraged fans to put their support behind current president Joe Biden and wants to focus on getting back into acting. But, she admits it won’t be an easy feat.

“I’ve basically been blacklisted. Being a black conservative is not easy…This idea that people think I’m coming from a place of judgment with the things I believe? No, it’s experience,” shared Dash. “I’m from the hood. The codes of the street are very conservative. If you’re not a hustler, if you don’t know how to hustle, how to make your money, you’re a lamb for the slaughter.”

Do you think we should give Stacey Dash another chance after her change of heart?

She understands what it’s like to be Black no matter where she’s been. Besides most Black people have conservative values, but don’t vote Conservative.
