A night of football took a turn for the worst for R&B singer Trey Songz.
Trey Songz attended a Kansas City Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium yesterday (January 24) when things between him and a police officer became physical.
A video released by TMZ shows both Songz and an officer tussling with one another. The dispute started when the “Just Gotta Make It” singer asked fans to stop heckling him.
In the video, Songz is seen punching the officer and placing him in a headlock before he is ultimately pinned down by the officer, but a witness says that the singer was not at fault and was defending himself.

During the situation, bystanders were shouting for the officer to stop before more policemen arrived at the scene and broke up the fight. The 36-year-old singer was taken into custody but has been released. Currently, he faces a low-grade felony charge of assaulting a police officer and two misdemeanors — trespassing and resisting arrest.
Now, fans are calling for the officer involved to be arrested. We hope that Songz is doing okay!
